Getting a credit card is almost indispensable today. The funny thing is how you lose some of the services you took for granted when you destroy your American Express card like I did. Just ordering some clothes over the internet wasn’t possible and how basic is that in today’s world. The old days of cash as the preferred method of doing obtaining goods have gone.
We never stop to ask ourselves when using our American Express credit card globally whether or not we need or can afford what we are buying it has become so commonplace. However, there is a price to pay when you use your American Express credit card and the buy now, pay tomorrow attitude. In some places, credit card debt is spiraling out of control. Today, credit card debt is one of the biggest worries facing us in America.
This is the primary reason I decided to cancel my American Express credit card recently. There was nothing to stop me because I wasn’t actually taking money from my pocket. Before too long as the spending started to spiral out of control I had to admit that I had been charging everything to my card irrespective of what it was. I was in a right state when I finally admitted that I couldn’t pay the debt.
To get my debt back into a position where I could pay for it I resorted to using a debt refinancing company. It was an awful situation I found myself in. Now, I have gotten my debt paid off and cancelled my American Express credit card. Many people would think me unfair about blaming a credit card but they need to understand something about people first.
Paying with cash makes you aware of how much things cost. But like I said before, a credit card made everything way too easy. I would just keep spending, not realizing until all the money was gone. So remember, if you don’t have an American Express card, you don’t have any worries.
